Claas produced its first self-propelled combine harvester in 1953. Initially called the Hercules, this name was soon dropped and it became known as the SF. From 1960 the improved SFB, like this machine, was produced. It has a 10ft cut header, Perkins 4.270D 60hp engine and four straw walkers. This 1961 example was cutting winter wheat in 2009.
