I’m a big fan of Tito’s Handmade Vodka—especially in a classic Dirty Martini—so I was thrilled to partner with Tito’s to celebrate Record Store Day with a simple, refreshing summer drink: Tito’s Colada.

For the eighth year, Tito’s has partnered with Record Store Day to honor the culture of independent record stores and the role they play in communities. If you haven’t visited your local record shop lately, Record Store Day is a great reason to stop in, browse releases, and support local music retailers. The Record Store Day drop list highlights exclusive and limited-run items, which can help you decide what to look for when you visit a store near you.
My husband Clayton and I are big record lovers—he has an impressive collection you may have seen on Instagram. One of his favorite weekend rituals is browsing Josey Records in Dallas to discover new artists and albums. We bring records home to play for the kids to dance around the house, or to create the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed evening with friends and cocktails.

Speaking of cocktails, you have to try this Tito’s Colada. It’s bright, tropical, and incredibly easy—just three main ingredients. It’s a great choice for summer gatherings, backyard listening sessions, or any time you want a drink that’s fruity, frosty, and smooth. Serve it while your favorite record spins to set a relaxed, nostalgic vibe.
Head to your local record store this weekend, then come home and blend up a pitcher of Tito’s Colada. Cheers!
Tito’s Colada
Servings: 6 people
Equipment
- High-powered blender
Ingredients
- 1 cup Tito’s Handmade Vodka
- 4 cups frozen pineapple chunks (about two 10-oz bags)
- 1 cup unsweetened, full-fat coconut milk (Aroy-D is a favorite)
- Maraschino cherries, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Add Tito’s Handmade Vodka, frozen pineapple chunks, and coconut milk to a high-powered blender.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed to ensure even blending.
- Pour into your favorite glasses and garnish with maraschino cherries, if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy.
Tips and Variations
- Adjust the vodka to taste. For a lighter cocktail, reduce the vodka slightly or add an extra splash of coconut milk.
- For more tropical depth, add a squeeze of fresh lime or a few fresh mint leaves before blending.
- If you prefer a sweeter drink, a teaspoon of honey or agave can balance the tartness of the pineapple.
- To make a non-alcoholic version, replace the vodka with chilled pineapple juice or coconut water for a family-friendly mocktail.
About This Recipe
This Tito’s Colada is intentionally simple—three main ingredients deliver a classic pina colada-like flavor without the fuss. Frozen pineapple keeps the drink cold and thick without needing crushed ice, and full-fat coconut milk provides the rich, creamy texture that makes this cocktail feel indulgent. Using Tito’s Handmade Vodka gives the drink a smooth, clean finish that pairs well with bright pineapple and creamy coconut.
